We are seeking an experienced Bid Manager to join a highly regarded, design-led engineering practice on a 12-month maternity cover contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and organised professional to take ownership of high-quality bid submissions within a collaborative, creative environment.

The role requires someone who can hit the ground running, with a handover period scheduled to begin in early March. The successful candidate will bring strong bid management experience, excellent communication skills and ideally a background in graphics or visual presentation, enabling the delivery of compelling, design-focused submissions.

About you:
You will have proven experience in bid management within the built environment, or engineering consultancy, with the confidence to manage the full bid process from opportunity through to submission. You are highly organised, comfortable managing multiple deadlines and able to collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders and technical teams to produce persuasive, visually engaging proposals.

You will bring strong copywriting and editing skills, exceptional attention to detail and a genuine interest in design-led work. Proficiency in Adobe InDesign (or similar design software) is highly desirable, and experience using Adobe Premiere Pro is a useful additional skill, though not essential. A proactive mindset, clear communication style and the ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment will be key to your success.

Package & Benefits include:
• Salary range £38,000 – £60,000 p.a.
• Annual bonus up to 8% (partially tax-free)

Please note: candidates must be available to start in early March for a structured handover period. While this role is initially a fixed-term contract, there may be the potential for longer-term opportunities later in the year.
