Mac-Savvy IT Support for Architecture Studio (Part-Time)
Do you genuinely enjoy solving problems and helping people? Our client, a design-led architecture studio, is looking for a friendly, proactive IT Support specialist to join them part-time and help keep their creative team working smoothly day-to-day.
Working closely with the studio’s IT Manager, you’ll become the go-to person for day-to-day support—from troubleshooting Macs to setting up equipment for new starters. If you’re hands-on, practical, and enjoy making IT feel approachable for everyone, this could be an ideal fit.
What you’ll do
– Provide face-to-face and remote IT support, resolving issues with care and efficiency
– Diagnose and fix problems on MacOS devices
– Maintain hardware, manage updates, and keep clear, accurate inventory records
– Troubleshoot basic network and Office 365 issues (Exchange, Teams, etc.)
– Handle IT administration, stock, and consumables
– Set up equipment for new starters, meetings, workshops, and presentations
– Support and administer the studio’s Jamf environment
– Keep software and hardware records up to date and well organised
– Explain technical issues simply and clearly to non-technical colleagues
– Assist management with ad hoc IT-related tasks
What we’re looking for
– Proven IT support experience, ideally within a creative or design-focused environment
– Strong working knowledge of MacOS and Office 365
– Experience with Jamf, SME cloud storage (e.g., Dropbox), VOIP systems, or NAS is a plus
– Excellent problem-solving skills with a practical, hands-on approach
– Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively
– A personable, positive attitude and the ability to make IT approachable
– An interest in design or creative industries is welcomed
– Someone looking for a long-term role where they can become a valued, consistent part of the studio team
Role details
– Part-time, 3 days per week (Wednesday are required. The other days are flexible)
– 100% office-based in a welcoming, collaborative studio environment
– Excellent benefits, including increased pension contribution and healthcare cash plan
We will do our very best to help you find your ideal job. Our approach is personable, and we believe that your job hunting experience should be enjoyable. We look forward to hearing from you.
