Office & Operations Manager sought for Distinctive Architecture Studio
About the role
An award-winning 70-strong architecture studio specialising in homes and workplaces is seeking a proactive Office & Operations Manager to lead the studio’s operations. Reporting to the Director team, this role is central to ensuring smooth day-to-day running, maintaining a strong culture, and supporting compliance, HR, IT, finance, and facilities.
Key responsibilities
– Lead ISO9001 and ISO14001 audits and Health & Safety management, including risk assessments and staff training
– Line-manage Receptionist and CPD Coordinator; oversee onboarding, recruitment, payroll, benefits, and staff appraisals
– Manage facilities, landlord relationships, office standards, and general administration
– Support social value initiatives, EDI reporting, and visa compliance
– Organise annual studio events and staff engagement activities
– Act as main point of contact for IT partners, oversee infrastructure and software management, provide office IT support
– Process sales invoices, staff expenses, and provide light PA support for directors
About you
– Proven experience in Practice Management or Operations within architecture, design, or the built environment
– Confident managing complex operational functions, IT systems, and office technology
– Highly organised, detail-oriented, and numerate with strong communication skills
– Able to handle sensitive information discreetly and work in a fast-paced environment
– Proficient in Microsoft Office; Xero, Hubdoc, CMAP or Atvero experience desirable
