Organised, Approachable Studio Manager for Award-Winning Architecture Practice
A renowned design practice is seeking a Studio Manager to work closely with the directors and senior management team in the day-to-day running of the studio, as well as in shaping the long-term strategic direction of the business.
In this wide-ranging role, you will take ownership of studio operations, HR, and finance, while also supporting bids, tenders, and business planning. The successful candidate will be proactive, personable, and detail-driven, with a calm and confident approach to problem-solving and team support.
Key responsibilities include:
– Leading on HR matters and fostering a supportive, collaborative studio culture
– Overseeing day-to-day studio operations, policies, and Health & Safety compliance
– Managing IT provision in collaboration with external consultants
– Coordinating the maintenance of studio premises, equipment, and supplies
– Working with directors on budgets, invoicing, and expenses, alongside the external accountant
– Overseeing company insurances and compliance matters
– Supporting bid and tender opportunities, including preparation of submissions
What we’re looking for:
– Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role within architecture or a design-related profession
– Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
– Excellent organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritise
– Confident knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite
– Understanding of bookkeeping, employment regulations, and Health & Safety (desirable)
– A positive, professional, and approachable manner with the highest levels of confidentiality
