Professor Penelope Haralambidou has been appointed as one of 15 UCL academics to serve on an expert sub-panel for Research England, contributing to the assessment of research as part of the next Research Excellence Framework (REF) in 2029.
The REF is the UK’s national system for evaluating the quality of research conducted in higher education institutions. Spanning disciplines across medicine, health and life sciences, social sciences, physical sciences, engineering and mathematics, and the arts and humanities, the REF assesses the impact, reach, and significance of research, highlighting its benefits to society both nationally and globally.
