Located along the international Paris to Brussels train line in Mons, the new Gare de Mons station has opened in Belgium.

Designed by Swiss-Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava, the station is anchored by a raised gallery spanning 165 metres across the site.

In 2006, Santiago Calatrava won the competition to redevelop the station, transforming it into a vital connector between the northern residential district and the historic southern quarter. The project also introduced modern amenities including offices, underground parking, and retail spaces—redefining the area as both a hub of movement and community.
