Union Terrace Gardens in Aberdeen – redeveloped by Stallan-Brand Architecture + Design in collaboration with LDA Design has been named the winner of the 2025 RIAS Andrew Doolan Best Building in Scotland Award, marking the first time a public-realm project has received the honour.
Originally opened in 1879, the gardens underwent a £28.3 million transformation beginning in 2019 and were reopened to the public in 2022.
