Hawkins\Brown and East have been appointed by the Greater London Authority (GLA) to oversee Oxford Street’s pedestrianisation.

The two practices were selected from the Mayor of London’s Architecture and Urbanism Framework to lead the delivery of major public realm improvements in and around Oxford Street, including the pedestrianisation of ‘the nation’s shopping street’, as per Architects’ Journal.
