A new free display dedicated to Harland Miller has opened at the Design Museum. The exhibition presents works from the artist’s ‘Letter Painting’ series, which draws on principles of graphic design to produce large-scale typographic compositions characterised by bold colour, texture, and layered references.
The display has been co-curated by Harland Miller and Tim Marlow, Director and CEO of the Design Museum, and includes new artworks created specifically for this presentation. It offers insight into the formal structures, influences, and conceptual approaches that underpin Miller’s practice.
Spanning two areas of the museum, the presentation features large-scale paintings in the Helene and Johannes Huth Gallery, alongside works on paper from the same series shown on the mezzanine level.
The display is open to the public until 25 January 2026.
